In this circumstance the Local Authority is unlikely to agree to fully fund your stay if you choose to select our care home instead of the less expensive establishment it has sourced for/suggested to you. In this event, private ‘top-up’ payments will be necessary in order to address the shortfall between our weekly fee and the weekly fee funding available from/offered by your Local Authority. We involve residents in the planning of our weekly activities timetables and offer one-to-one bespoke and tailored opportunities as requested.
For services we haven't rated we use ticks and crosses to show whether we've asked them to take further action or taken enforcement action against them. – the service isn't performing as well as it should and we have told the service how it must improve. Judging of the displays officially takes place on Friday 18th September 2015, once the floral designs have been on display for visitors to see at the homes during the week prior, which incorporates National Dementia Carer’s Day. Residents from Barking Hall enjoyed their first visit to the Felixstowe hut this month, as the sunshine made a welcome spring appearance. Having hired a coach, 15 residents enjoyed a delightful trip out to the seaside.

The purchase of The Malthouse is the second acquisition that the Healthcare Homes Group has completed in 2016, following the completion of Park House Nursing Home in Peterborough in January. Once the epic journey has been completed, there are plans to donate the quilt to a local hospice. Healthcare Homes group is hosting a series of coffee mornings at its residential and nursing homes located across the region to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, as part of the ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ event. A special celebration was marked at Barking Hall Nursing Home in Barking, near Needham Market, as resident Jessie Davis turned 101.

A party was also held at Barking Hall itself to commemorate Jessie's special centenary celebrations. Her daughter, Elizabeth, arranged for a DVD of Jessie's life to be created and shown at the home. Staff from the home also arranged for Jessie's favourite performer to visit the home - Heather Bexon - who played the accordion and sang songs for Jessie and the other residents at Barking Hall. In celebration of our 10th anniversary, all 23 homes across the Healthcare Homes Group, are currently designing and baking a special cake to mark our decade in business.
